On the beautiful Helgeland coast, on a small island near Dønna, Halvor Bakke and the team from Eventyrlig Oppussing (Season 11) have given a cherished family cabin new life. With strong family ties and fond memories connected to the place, the goal was to create a cabin and bathroom that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
A bathroom combining function and aesthetics
The walls were clad with paneling and the ceiling painted to give the room a warm, cohesive look. A shower cabin was installed, spacious, yet without dominating the bathroom. The biggest transformation came with the installation of Cinderella Freedom, a waterless incineration toilet that offers both comfort and a hygienic toilet solution.
The perfect off-grid solution
The Cinderella Freedom is a water-free toilet solution. It offers indoor comfort without the need for costly water or sewage connections. The incineration process is powered by propane gas, whilst 12V power is needed for the electronics in the toilet.
With this solution, the family now enjoys a practical and comfortable toilet experience, perfect for a place meant to be used year-round and shared with family and friends.
