North of the Arctic Circle, in Lyngen, Norway, lies Cinderella's factory. At our 3,500 m² facility, every incineration toilet is designed, assembled, and quality-tested in-house. Every day, we work to refine our manufacturing process and build products that work reliably, wherever they're installed.

Energy Efficiency and Recycled Materials
The factory's construction reflects careful choices in both materials and energy design. The facility is built with locally produced concrete, where the sand is sourced from nearby areas, and the reinforcement consists of recycled materials from local sources. The factory walls store heat efficiently and reduce energy consumption. We use an advanced seawater heat pump that draws energy from the fjord via a 2 km cable located just outside the factory walls. The heat pump captures the warmth from the seawater and channels this energy into our water-based heating system. This reduces our total energy consumption.
Focus on recycling and waste management
Recycling is a central part of our production process. We continuously work to reduce waste, and all employees contribute to sorting and handling materials. Everything from cardboard and plastic packaging to metal and copper is sorted and processed locally to reduce transportation needs and increase recycling. While we still have to manage some residual waste, like clippings from the bowl liner machine, we are constantly looking for better ways to reduce or repurpose this waste stream.

Future ambitions and social responsibility
Looking ahead, we have ambitious goals to further reduce our environmental impact. We're preparing to install solar panels at the facility to reduce our reliance on grid electricity. We also continue to support local initiatives such as sports teams and school projects and strive to make a positive contribution to our surrounding community.
