At Cinderella, being socially responsible means doing good in various ways — from ensuring our employees' safety and supporting our local community, to giving back internationally. For us, this is just the beginning.
Supporting our community
We support grassroots sports and culture for children and young people, never elite programs. We believe every child should have access to good, healthy leisure activities, regardless of their family's circumstances.
This same commitment to community runs through how we do business. Coming from a small island, we know how much retaining expertise locally means, for good jobs and quality schools. As a family-owned company now in its fourth generation, we've chosen to keep our production here rather than move it abroad or centralize it in the capital. Our roots are part of who we are.
Awareness for safe sanitation
The UN Sustainable Development Goals guide our product development, particularly SDG 6: clean water and sanitation for all by 2030. Each year we mark World Water Day (22 March) and World Toilet Day (19 November) to raise awareness of the global need for safe sanitation and clean water. This isn't only a challenge in developing countries. Ageing sewage infrastructure is damaging waterways and ecosystems in industrialized nations too. Our incineration toilets need no water or sewage connection: waste is reduced to a small amount of ash. We believe our technology can help address this challenge, one installation at a time.
Giving back
A cause especially close to our hearts is North South Partnership Aid (NSP Aid), which works to improve the lives of homeless children in Kenya and Ethiopia, building schools, providing homes, and creating opportunities for higher education. We've supported NSP Aid for more than 10 years, and seeing the children we've met grow into confident, capable young adults means a great deal to us.
Through the Cinderella Scholarship, we help students continue their studies. Our latest project supports a children's home outside Nairobi, where we're also donating our water-free toilets to improve sanitary conditions and share what we've learned about sanitation along the way.

Code of ethics
Our code of ethics is built on anti-corruption compliance, gender equality, and mutual respect. "Team Cinderella" means something real to us, as great-grandfather Sjøvik, the fisherman who founded our family business, used to say: we're all, quite literally, in the same boat. Our leadership is one of management, not ownership, and we reach our goals by working together.
