At the foot of Høgevarde in Flå, only reachable by snowmobile in winter, Eventyrlig Oppussing transformed an old cabin bathroom into a warm, functional space made for a life lived outdoors.
LIFE AT THE MOUNTAIN'S EDGE
The owners have taken over the family farm in Flå, along with this cabin at the foot of Høgevarde. In winter, they work at the Høgevarde ski center; in summer, they're out developing mountain bike trails. Together, they spend as much time as possible outdoors, whether on skis or on a bike. Their cabin sits right at the edge of the mountain, with the whole mountainside just outside the door, and it's rarely empty for long: friends and family are frequent guests.
A BATHROOM BUILT FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
The bathroom got new surfaces, a shower, and a custom-built vanity with a clever changing table solution, ideal for a cabin that sees plenty of family visits. The old composting toilet was replaced with a Cinderella Premium incineration toilet, giving the owners a comfortable, hygienic, and odor-free solution that keeps up with cabin life, whatever the season.
